I called the 808 Call Centre on 12 February to give notice - I will not be upgrading or renewing my contract. Reasons - zero customer service. Poor network quality (Heritage Hill Estate in Centurion - you get EDGE only, no 3G, consistent dropped calls or poor signal - more than 2 years). I get transferred to Retentions, I have to ask them why they don';t ask me why I am cancelling (don't they care about churn?). Long story made short, I was promised an e-mail confirming my cancellation request and effective date of termination. Today is 20 February. Still no e-mail. Still no confirmation. I'd like someone to start paying attention and deliver what was promised. Maybe Eddie Moyce (who used to run the MultiChoice/DStv Call Centre and now heads things up in the same field at MTN) needs to hear from customers personally why they're ready to move to Cell C after being a customer of MTN since 1995?
