I cancelled my cellc contract as was required by the service provider. Cell C informed me that the procedure was to complete a termination form and fax it or hand it in at a cell c branch. I did the latter and was informed that my cancellation form was faxed through. I provided cell c with the required 1 month cancellation notice. However for the following 3 months they conveniently continued to debit my bank account. I contacted the call centre in Dec 12 and complained. Their response was by an email stating that my contract would be cancelled and made the effective date the day of my complaint ie in Dec-12. I called cell c again to complain that they could not use the date of complaint (Dec-12) as tha date of cancellation. they confirmed with me that the date of cancellation via my cancellation form should have in fact been 2 months earlier (i.e Oct-12). The call centre consultant advised me that my complaint would be escalated. It is almost a month now and i have not yet received any refund for cell c's blunder nor have they contacted me at all. Cell C, your network is pathetic and now your customer service even worse. No wonder you have to lure customers with cheap contracts.
