No success in terminating MTN Data contract

My 24 month data contract was due to expire on the 2nd of February. I knew that I had to give a month's notice for cancellation so I completed the cancellation form on the 7th of January. I received a read request, but no response. I have resent the form to local branches and the national centre. Still no feedback. I have called the call centre three times waiting over 15 minutes. I only got through once and they said I must call after the 2nd to confirm the cancellation must be done. Today is the 3rd. I have waited over 30 minutes to get through only to be told that my contract is still active, there is no notice of my cancellation request and I need to call again after 8am as no one from the cancellation department is at work. I kindly requested that someone from the cancellation department please calls me as I do not wish to do be on hold. The agent then advised that she can do that but she doesn't think anyone will call me back and she says it is better for me to try and call again later. I am totally taken aback by this extreme poor service. I would not usually complain on this site but I though such poor service needs to be reported. It is very disappointing!!
