My debit order was automatically cancelled following the rejection of a payment a few months ago. Although I was aware that there was a payment outstanding, I assumed that it would by paid the next month as I knew my payment method was debit order. However, I was not aware that the DO had been cancelled since I NEVER GOT ANY NOTIFICATION of the cancellation of the debit order.

Subsequently my account was suspended due to the outstanding money. No communication, just suspension.

When I called the first time, I requested that the DO be reinstated. The consultant indicated that this was not possible, then said it was possible but it could only be reinstated by next year March. This was the most ridiculous thing I had ever hear. After I had indicated that this was unacceptable, she changed her story and said that it could be reinstated by December. Poor training and miscommunication.

In any case, I paid the full outstanding amount on Sunday already, and I have faxed through the proof of payment, however Telkom has still not reconnected me.

I have called to sort it out, with no luck. This is now my only option. PLEASE FOLLOW UP AND RECONNECT ME. How complicated can it be??
