Absolute incompetence!

I called to advise of my wish to change to Cell-C at the end of my contract, this because Vodacom couldn't come close to what they were offering.

After the call I received an SMS acknowledging my request and confirmation that I would migrate onto 'pay as you go' on the 16th of September. Further to this I received an addition SMS advising that I should use all my available minutes by the 15th as the migration would happen on the 16th. The long and the short of the story is that this migration didn't happen and I received several messages that effectively read that the migration had been declined.

I started calling Vodacom (3hrs) and got passed from pillar to post, needless to say that nobody knew what was going on. One department told me that the migration would only happen to the 30th of September, another told me that it was because my account was outstanding, another told me that it was because I hadn't turned my phone off yet and the final straw, that the migration request hadn't actually been loaded!!!

Is frightening how incompetent Vodacom have shown themselves to be!

I challenge any Vodacom Exec to try and call their own company as a customer and then rate the service
