I am so upset and angry with Vodacom, their customer service is pathetic. I have been liaising with various call centre agents for the past 3 months. I called Vodacom in September 2013 and requested them to cancel my contract at the end of its 24 month period which ended on 01/11/2013. I have requested them to migrate my number to prepaid so that I can port it to another network. Everytime I have spoken to the consultants (about 5 times since last week, they assured me that everything is ok and that it will be finalised on 30/11/13. On 1/12/13 when I called Vodacom again, a consultant by the name of Malusi told me that the migration is done and I can go to another network and that my number can be ported. Yesterday afternoon I got a sms from Vodacom stating that my request was rejected, this was after I have taken a contract with another service provider. Now I have a new phone which I cannot use as it cannot be activated unless Vodacom does the migration. I sometimes wonder how these people get the jobs when they cannot do simple stuff properly. I personally will not use Vodacom ever again.
