Extremely poor service from MTNSP

Since 8 June 2013 my wife has been trying to resolve a problem relating to poor coverage & signal strength on her cell phone. This we had escaleted to various persons in MTN call centres, one of whom advised me that she should be patient for a few months, they will be installing an additional tower in our area of residence which should solve her reception problem. We have since tried to terminate the contract she has with MTN but even here we have not had any response from MTNSP. This we had then taken up with an agent at an MTN store who was helpful & escalated the query via email. Responses to his email only state that the query had been forwarded but no further response or action has been forthcoming. I am now seeking legal advice in this regard. I am once again reminded of why my daughter & I had both changed service providers as we had similar unresolved reception problems. Fortunately we were prepaid users so to port was easy even though MTN took 5 days to complete their side of things.
