I was due for an upgrade and the upgrade was done on 27 April 2013. When I received my invoice for the period 20 April 2013 - 20 May 2013 I noted the very high data usage. Upon further investigation, it was noted that my data package on my previous contract was stopped when the upgrade was processed.

My issue is that on the bill run of 20 April 2013, I was billed in advance for the next month for a 500MB data package that was included in my previous monthly Iphone package. If I paid in ADVANCE for this, it surely cannot be cancelled when processing an upgrade. I suspect that was also the case with my R500 monthly airtime.

I logged a call with MTN on 27 May 2013 and spoke to Kerry Moodley and raised the issue. She said she would escalate this to the billing department and that I will receive a SMS detailing the reference number for the specific enquiry. To date, I have received no feedback or SMS with the number. The reference number specific to my call with Kerry is 100500212.

I believe that MTN should process a credit for the error made.
