I received a bill for R 10 388.00 on a R 149.00 per month data package. The bill was issued for data usage on the 23rd, 24th and 26th of December 2012 while I was on holiday from 14/12/2013 til 09/01/2013. The data package user number is 071 862 9699. I contacted MTN via email and an investigation was launched. MTN confirmed that the data was used during this period which is impossible seeing that I use this package for work purposes only. I have another Data package that I use at home which is uncapped. I would like to know how this is possible because I only receive 2G data per month for R 149.00. My account history shows that in a period of nearly 3 and a half years, I never used more than what was allowed and how is it possible to use R 10 388.00 in three days. All three my accounts with MTN has been suspended due to this. Please advise.
