No communication from a communications company

Received sms stating the line installation date today 16 May and said that someone must be at home from 8-4. Took the day of I sat and waited. I phoned just to be check and they said it is only 12:30 and they have until 4 to show up. So not being able to go anywhere or do anything for this entire day, I just waited, wasting a entire day leave on absolutely nothing. 3:45 phone again only to find out they don't know about the installation but here's a new date, which I obviously was not going to accept. Them playing for time asked me to confirm my info and 22 minutes later waiting for the supervisor she put the phone down in my ear. Phone back and spoke to someone else who also said there is no date and can help me on the 22nd. Explained to her the situation so she changed her story to "oh i see the technicians open the exchange and noticed there is a problem so they spend the whole day sorting out my line at the exchange. They will do the rest on the 22nd". Why not contact the waiting client with this info? Now what choice do I have? Another week waiting another day leave lost to wait for people who does not know how to keep appointments. Pathetic, pathetic!!
