This is the story (here is the reference no 85213451A)

I went to the telkom store here in Newcastle and asked for a 4mbps adsl line to be installed at my house.

When they eventually pitched to install the line (kept moving the date) a 2mbps line was installed.
Phoning telkom and asking them why a 2mbps line was installed, no answer could be given, we then asked them to upgrade it, where they said it must be changed at the exchange because apparently that port can only go up to 2mbps (the router states though that the obtainable rate is 26mbps).

They said I must wait 24hours, where it would be changed at the exchange and the line speed can be upgraded.

Lo and behold, phone them a day later and nothing was done, and I am now told to wait 4 days before it will be changed at the exchange. Infuriating frustration is what follows.

Please telkom, PLEASE, help me. Unfortunately you are my only choice and I must live with this, just please, please sort this out.
