Understanding of upgrading was incorrect!!!

I went into Tygervalley Vodacom store to up grade my 3G contract on the 3 of April which I took a Samsung tablet with 2 gigs which I asked the sales ladies what my new installment would be she said R 240 which I was very happy about NOW after receiving my statement they are billing me R493.01 which is NOT what I understood as the sale lady did NOT inform me that I still need to pay @ months still on my old contract... If I knew that from the beginning I would have not upgraded I would have waited until the end of July so that I DONT have a payment that I cant afford!!!
