I cancelled a contract with MTN on the 9th of July 2012. On the contract one number was to be ported and the other cancelled. They acknowledged receipt of my request. reference no [#5420925]. I requested that they cancel the contract as per my original request and pay back the money they deducted from my account since. I reported this on hellopeter and was promised that it would be resolved. Utterly Disgusted: After all the struggle I finally get a refund to the amount of R1322.06 on 2013-05-07. If my calculations are correct, this contract was to be cancelled on 2012-08-12 as per my request and MTN's negligence. Thus I have been billed for 10 months, which includes an deduction on 2013-05-01 after it was allegedly already cancelled, of R249/month x 10 = R2490 minus pro rata for 1 - 12 Aug of R99-60, which should leave R2390-40 more or less. What happened to the rest? and no breakdown of calculation? I have been sending e-mails for how long and they cannot send me a breakdown to my e-mail [Email Removed] I must be happy with this service and accept that I am still paying for MTN's mistake and incompetence. for sake of principal I am taking this to consumer protection
