Supply account info to someone who wasn't me

I missed payments with edcon and I want to make arrangements to pay, Edcon called my landline number and supplied detailed personal account information about me to somebody who wasn't me. Is there no data integrity do they not protect an individuals information or simply verify the person they speak to.

If they had tried to verify me when calling on Saturday by simply asking for my I'D number and a few other personal information questions they would have realised they were not speaking to me but somebody else.

I am disgusted that my personal balance, amount owing, which months missed, reference number and all that was given out to a random person wwho picked up the phone!

This should be taken further and I think I shall do just that
