I upgraded on Wednesday 3 July from the Select to Premium Package as I have done on 2 other occassions. The first time it was explained to me that the extra amount will be added to my account at the end of the month. This morning my DSTV was cancelled, because I was overdue with one day on the premium package. I phoned the call centre and was informed that the reason I was not disconnected the previous two times that I upgraded was because "I was lucky"??!!! The fact that it was not explained to me correctly by the call centre agents does not matter, because I should have read the terms and conditions - I did, but it only states "DSTV is a prepaid service" - it does not explain about upgrades and downgrades. So now I have to pay the R50 reconnection fee. "I WAS LUCKY" doesn't work for me - you either have a policy or you don't - which one is it and why was I not explained this by the call centre?
