Agent is not paying over my Rent due

My rent was due on 1st of this month.
The agent (Eleanor) already has collected the rent from the tenant on 25th of the previous month and now it is the 14th of the month and I still have not been paid my rent.
I have tried calling many times and have sent numerous emails and SMSs and have received no reply from Eleanor at all.
Her husband has answered my calls twice and rudely told me that their bank account has been frozen by ABSA without any warning and he is dealing with the issue, but cannot tell me when I will get my money.
I cannot see how a bank will freeze someone's account WITHOUT warning, and if indeed this was in error as they claim how come it has not been resolved in over 2 weeks by now.
