A lawyer from JJR Conveyancing bought my home. I am a single mother and the previous tenant of this property really did a number on me and my finances. Nevertheless, I signed in August for the Sale of this property and apparently these things take a while so I am patiently waiting.

Last month when rent was due, JJR Conveyancing advised me that the money was in their account, they where waiting for it to clear and then they would pay me. Imagine my shock when on the 8th October 2013, (rent is due on the 1st of each month), I get an Absa notification from new owner of payment that would only clear on the 9th October - so much for lawyers and their integrity.

This month - another battle over rent money - seriously?? Asked them on three different occasions when rent will be paid. Got feedback yesterday, they say that new owner said he would pay. Well guess what - Nothing in my bank account. This is supposed to be a staff member.

So I cannot do anything about this right? Wrong.
