Samsung LCD TV packs after less than 2 years ofuse

We purchased a 40 inch Samsung LCD TV from the Samsung shop in Gateway, Durban on the 6th January 2012 and less than 2 years later the TV has packed with the samsung repair centre telling me the components have packed from over use and I need to pay up R4495 to fix it as my warranty was just for 1 year. Ironically had I purchased the same TV in April I would have received a 2 year warranty on it. I really feel cheated by Samsung on this and would welcome a review of my case especially with regards to the warranty and how exactly overuse is defined this especially as my lifestyle is not TV centered neither does it subject the TV to harsher conditions than it should work under.
