Laptop lasted only 2 years

I bought a Samsung Model R540 laptop just over 2 years ago. The warranty through game stores was only 1 year. The laptop lasted 2 years and 1 month and the hard drive has packed up. Used only at home for personal use and it hardly did any work. Looked after it well. I would expect a laptop to last at least 5 years, irrespective of the warranty. Very disappointed with Samsung. I am now looking at buying a Lenova laptop which at least comes with a 3 year warranty. Game Stores should also not stock expensive items which last only 2 years. They should choose their suppliers more carefully. But as for Samsung... shame on you.
