Ellies do not honour their own warranty

I went shopping or a multiplug last year and while at Builders Warehouse, the sales assistant told me to take this Ellies Multiplug as it protects your equipment and if it does not then they will guarantee repair/replacement if any surge or lighting breaks any of my electrical appliances. Well as we all know, we had that huge lighting storm and hail in JHB at the end of Nov beginning of December and the following items were hit that were plugged directly into this elleis surge protection multiplug.
1) My Projector - R5000 - brand new
2) My surround Sound - R1500 - also brand new
3) My computer - had to replace motherboard and network cards plus call out fees in total cost over R5000.
4) DSTV PVR
Well I thought no problem, I am covered by ellies, got hold of someone in that department, - first thing she asked me is if I had sent back some sort of warranty card - I told her that nothing of the sort was included in my package - so she told me that there is nothing they can do - it had only a red sticker saying R20 000 warranty - She said her boss is making a decision on my case and will come back to me - I have called on 5 occassions since and still nobody comes back to fill me in
