Got a call this morning for a dept collection company regarding an outstanding ABSA credit card accoutn - ok, I did have one 8 years ago and yes, i did have problems paying it, did make arrangements to pay them which i did, last payment was made in 2007 at Paarden Eiland branch, I colsed the account the same day at the teller and NO don't have the letter any longer. So I called head office - person that answered does not even understand english, only reply I got was call branch and the phone slammed in my ear... not the last one for the day.. I can't remember which branch was mine, so i called 3 other branches in cape town - one could not pick up any details for me on their system - nothing. the other picked up a petrol card - did not have a card back then..3rd, well they can see I had a credit card with them, asked if they can please tell me at whcih branch so i can phone, was asked to hold and the phone got put down again. I do not have the time to go and sit in the bank, just to be told i need to call this or that number.. So please can some one tell what number to call so I can get to the bottom of this and find out why the teller at paarden eiland did not do his job..
