SMS to pick up credit card (x2), card not there

I received an sms from ABSA informing me that my new credit card was ready for collection at the Melkbosstrand branch where I live. I went to the branch to pick up the card, but apparently the card has only been sent down from Pretoria, but it wasn't there yet. ABSA said that they'll phone me when the card arrives, so that I can pick it up. About a month later, I receive another sms saying that my card is ready for collection, so I take off work to go to ABSA again only to find out that there is no card. After much inquiring, they informed me that my previous new card arrived, but was sent back because it wasn't collected and they'll order a new card for me. This means that I'll have to take off work and go back a third time, with this process running over almost 2 months!
