So much for 48 hours claim payment!

My mother has been paying into a funeral policy for 20 years. We lost her early in January immediately began proceedings to get payment on the policy. Between Liberty Life and Clientele there was much confusion as to the claim and extent of the cover and we were bounced between the two. Despite the policy advertising a payout within 48 hours, 2 weeks later we were still waiting and still had NO indication of the policy value despite numerous requests for this. The funeral came and went and all costs had to be borne by family. Today "settlement" occurred and was less than a third of the value of the policy as stated in documentation received from Clientele before my mothers passing. This policy is supposed to relieve financial strain and red tape on grieving family members but has just exacerbated it. I always have to do the follow-up calls. Deeply disappointed and frustrated in this "reputable" insure
