I signed up for the 2mbps uncapped adsl account with FNB Connect. I actually only have a 1mbps line. (I'm not a technical person) After a month or a friend of mine told me I'm paying FNB Connect more than I need to. The reason I chose the 2mbps option is because it was available on a dropdown list for my account. I didn't see any notification saying that I needed to have a corresponding line.

I phoned the call centre to request a refund of the difference between the payment for the 1mbps and 2mbps options. I was told by the call centre agent, whom I found to be condescending, that this was my fault for not understanding and it's fair for FNB Connect to get paid the amount for a data at 2mbps speed even though they've only provided me data at 1mbps speed.

I canceled my account. The service was the unfriendly and the "not our problem" attitude was pathetic.. My experience as a customer was terrible. If FNB Connect cannot respect or accommodate me over a matter of less than R50, then it's not a company I'm prepared to be customer of. Thanks for the "help" FNB!
