I have had a business account with Standard Bank since 1997. It came to my attention at the beginning of July 2013 that my overdraft limit had been reduced without prior warning. When I contacted the Standard Bank Call Centre I was informed that a letter had been posted to me mid May 2013. As at 15 July 2013 I have still not received this letter. On contacting the Call Centre I was told that I would have to speak to my business banker, Bernice Tsotsane. However, when trying to transfer my call to Northcliff branch there was no reply. Could I leave a message - as I am still awaiting a return call from 29 June 2013 I declined. Eventually my call was answered by a financial advisor at Northcliff branch who informed me that no-one at the branch answered their phones and that I would have to come into the branch to receive any help. When I contacted the Complaint Resolution Centre they could not get anyone at Northcliff branch to answer their call either. I was informed that I would have to go to the branch to receive assistance. When I requested to speak to a manager I was informed that the manager was in a meeting. How can you move me forward when you're holding me back?
