I am so disappointed in the level of service received from Groupon, despite being a loyal customer. My friend purchased a voucher for accommodation in Greece but, due to unforeseen circumstances, she was no longer able to use it. I then purchased the voucher from my friend and reserved my accommodation with the merchant. My friend, to be safe, checked with Groupon that she could sell it to me. Instead of responding with a "yes" or "no", her account was credited as Groupon staff interpreted my friend's email as requesting a refund. Eventually the credit was reversed. However, the merchant in Greece has now informed me that my booking has been cancelled as Groupon have refunded the voucher. Groupon did refund the voucher but then reversed the refund and now nobody has bothered to inform the merchant in Greece that the refund was an error and has been corrected. Instead, I was told by Groupon staff that I had to inform the merchant (not Groupon) that the voucher must be processed manually. I am now still getting numerous automated emails from Groupon wanting to know whether I want a refund. What the? Is nobody at Groupon paying any attention to our requests and correspondence???
