I bought a Groupon voucher for 2 table mountain platters to be redeemed at Famous Fishoek Co. We redeemed the first platter during the week without a problem. When we attempted to redeem the second voucher on a Friday night, or Saturday lunch or Saturday dinner; we were immediately told that they are fully booked for Groupon vouchers. Implying that they only take a certain number of Groupon clients at a time.
The T&C's on the voucher clearly states that it is valid until Saturday night at 22H00 and makes no mention of other limitations. A friend then contacted Famous Fishoek and attempted to make a normal booking for the same time, but stated that she was not redeeming a Groupon voucher, the merchant were all too eager to take her booking. Surely groupon should intervene and raise this issue with the merchant.
