Not refunding me to my credit card

I purchased a groupon voucher, the merchant did not want to full fill her obligation when I wanted to redeem the voucher. I complained to groupon about the situation and requested a refund to my credit card. Instead I was refunded groupon credits? I sent several emails and called the call centre and the response is all the same - I only have 7 days after purchase to get a refund to my credit card (their 7 day cancellation policy). Groupon has my money, the merchant didn't want me to use the groupon voucher, I got refunded groupon credits.

Why am I not getting my money back? Dont I have a case wrt the "Consumers Act"?
