I purchased a Groupon on Saturday December 28th 2013 from Groupon for furniture removal services. The move I was planning on making was cancelled and I no longer required the Groupon so I notified Groupon that I wished to cancel on Wednesday January 8th 2014.
As per their terms you are allowed to cancel within 7 working days after the day the Groupon has been issued where a working day excludes Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays and can expect a full refund. However I was told that my Groupon was older than 7 days old and would thus not be refunded. I responded to the consultant outlining the days below to illustrate that I informed them of the cancellation on working day 7.
Working Day 1- Monday 30th December
Working Day 2 - Tuesday 31st December
Working Day 3 - Thursday 2nd January
Working Day 4- Friday 3rd January
Working Day 5- Monday 6th January
Working Day 6- Tuesday 7th January
Working Day 7- Wednesday 8th January
The consultant Mala Kirthika then responded to say they can offer me a refund in Groupon credits. I do not want a refund in Groupon credits! Why are Groupon not honoring their own terms and conditions and refunding my payment?
