On 29/11/2013 I ordered a Mypad android tablet from Groupon and was informed delivery will occur within 2 weeks. On 12/12/2013 I enquired about delivery and on 13/12/13 I was informed delivery will be no later than 22/12/2013. On 21/12 I e-mailed again saying this was my son's (10 yrs) ONLY Christmas gift and received a reply on 23/12 that the matter will be passed on to management team. I sent a further 2 e-mails on 23/12 but no reply. I decided to phone and the lady informed me immediately that the tablet is out of stock!!! This was at about 14h30 on 23/12, less than 2 days before Christmas! She said I would be refunded within 3 to 5 days. I had to run around trying to get a tablet. Of course most stores were sold out and eventually I had to purchase a much more expensive one (almost R900 more)... plus Groupon still had my money. I was only refunded on 2/1/2014. I am very disappointed in the manner Groupon handled this. When were they planning to inform me the item is out of stock? They made me believe they had the product and that delivery would occur before Christmas. I also had to buy a much more expensive tablet because I had to take what was left.
