Hi. Almost a year ago now i purchased a GroupON coupon and didn't get to use it as the place of redeeming it was already full and they said i could get a refund back from groupon as the period was nearing expiring date as well. I then contacted GroupON customer service (a customer agent) who said they can't refund cash, only credit to the value of the coupon purchased. I was obviously frustated as not only the guy from the place said GroupON will refund me but i remember reading (at the time) in GroupOn t&c's that they would refund if a coupon expired. It was a R420 which the call centre now told me i couldn't get back and only in the form of a credit refund! I finally agreed after ranting back and forth as this too had an expiry date, and i persisted what if i don't get to use it within the time, then they said i will use it. A year later now i happend to just stumble upon my R420 credit that stated it will expire end of this month, November! I contacted them via email again and they said if it expires theres nothing they can do! I just want my money back pls! ps. why in the t&c's it states credit "will be valid for three years ..". Totally UNACCEPTABLE. Very frustated customer.
