I usually have a look at the email promotions that Groupon have to offer, and not always tempted to buy as I am afraid of "online purchases" for too much money. So on 31 October I saw this travel box for R99.95 and decided that this was the perfect opportuntiy to try the Groupon experience. So I ordered the box online, and did the EFT payment immediately. (i made the payment for R100. what difference would the extra 5c make right) The website says please do not send through proof of payment, as your reference number is unique and we will pick it up immediately. Today is the 7th November, and still I have not received a confirmation email, saying that my order has been despatched. I phoned the call centre, only to be told that my order has been cancelled as the payment i made was for R100 and not R99.95. How ridiculous is this??!! So now I have to email them proof of payment, and wait 74 hours (weekends excluded) until they can refund my money.
I am very, very disappointed. I will surely not be purchasing from Groupon again.
