I had booked a flight on Kulula to Cape Town for the 31/01/14. Only once we got to ORT did I realise that we were booked from Lanseria Airport and there was absolutely no ways that we could get there on time.
I had booked the ticket online through Travelstart. Lulama was at the information desk. She did give us two numbers for Travelstart, but neither were available. Lulama was totally disinterested. When asked if we could call Lanseria to check flights for later in the day, she said that they have no external lines!!! Kulula does not have one outside line in the whole of the building!!! I was sobbing at this stage, but she remained completely indifferent. When I asked for a supervisor, Lulama ambled off at a bored pace. The supervisor, Janita, never appeared.
Travelstart called me approximately 15 minutes after we had left the Kulula counter. I was told that it is the airlines responsibility to assist a passenger after hours when Travelstart is closed. At the time of my initial contact with Lulama there was one seat available from Lanseria that evening but she told me that I had to go through Travelstart - not true according to Travelstart. Shocking, just shocking.
