Cancelled flight turns into 14 hour nightmare

We were left stranded in a foreign country for 5 hours. Our 2.5 hour direct flight to Cape Town ended up being a 14 hour travel nightmare. We were routed via JHB 5 hours after scheduled take off to find our bags had been lost. We then had to wait a further 3 hours for a connecting flight.

There was absolutely no communication between the company and the passengers. We paid a premium for a direct flight only to be treated like animals and ignored. Continuous passing of the buck is the business of SA Express.

I still don't know what happened to our flight, and after numerous complaints nobody has accepted responsibility nor even offered an apology, let alone compensation! Absolutely appalling service and zero concern for paying customers.

This company is more than happy to take your money but couldn't give a about you after that. Customer service is non existent, much like the flight that I paid for. This company is an absolute joke and its employees should feel deeply ashamed.
