I was approached on a telephone survey in which they explained that I had won R6000 in meal vouchers at certain restaurants, they said I could come collect these at Silverstar Casino, Krugersdorp on the 02/10/2013.. On arrival I was approached by a man who instead of handing me my vouchers and sending me on my way, rather turned into a relentless Salesman and pitched a contract with "World Vacations" to me for roughly 2 hours, stating that this was how I would receive my vouchers.. He explained a number of benefits and virtues that I would receive, none of which were in the written contract.. I was still skeptical until he dropped the price from R14000/10 years to R10000/15 years at which I was convinced to sign the contract.. this stretching the meeting out for two hours without letting me see the contract until i accepted just made me want to do anything he said to get out of there..
I was lead to believe this offer was exclusive and had no hidden clauses in the agreement.. later after more careful analysis, I found clauses left unexplained or rather avoided by the salesman..
Now the company refuses to refund me the amount i paid on the evening of signing..
