Fee for luggage

Our family of four flew from Cape Town to Lanseria on Wednesday 25 September. we only had three suitcases as we thought it would make things easier. the three in total weighed 61 kg's. However, one of the suitcases weighed 28 kg's which exceeds the limit by 8 kg's. We had to pay R 250, 00.

I find it unacceptable as we deliberately packed three suitcases since we needed only that and also thought it would make things easier for Kulula. Surely we were to be allowed 80 kg's for four persons travelling together.?

No expalanation were accepted by them - they only indicated it was company policy. A policy I was never made aware of and also not shown when booking in.
