What they don't tell you

My family and I flew Kulula for the first time and when we checked in learnt for the first time that each person travelling is allowed 20kg but it is not cumulative. As a family of 4 with only 3 suitcases this was a problem. At no point are you made aware of this policy until it is too late - no wonder it is a discount airline. We then had to pay R250 overweight on each suitcase. On arrival at our destination our suitcases were marked with bright orange stickers indicating that they were overweight - I felt completely discriminated against. As far as possible I will in future avoid using this airline - I would rather pay more with no hidden surprises!
