I made my booking with kulula on 15 June and got a message saying my credit card didn't go through. So I tried again, same message. So i made the booking on another card (visa). That doesn't go through either. So clearly there must be an issue with their system or the bank. As it's a long weekend, i wait till Tuesday 18 June to call Virgin (my credit card) who say the payment went through twice! Yet I have no booking confirmation. So i phone the airline and not only is it going to take 48 hours to return the money, but I don't have a booking. All they can do is refund the money and I must make a new booking. But my credit card doesn't work cos its already paid for a double booking. Which can only be refunded in 48 hours. Meanwhile, the flight cost may go up but sorry there's nothing they can do about that. I get my mother to pay via her credit card so I have a confirmed booking (and pay the difference of about R60 in cost) But then I check my other bank account, and find out that the second card I'd used (Visa) has ALSO been debited and so it continues. Five hours of time wasted, three reversals that will take 48 hours or (latest update 7 days) an I'm broke. thanks Kulula.
