Poor service & no internet

I rent my phone line from TELKOM; my ISP is CYBERSMART. Since February my internet service has been zero, poor & intermittent. I logged calls with Telkom in February, March and in April. They claim to have fixed the problem in each month. I currently have zero internet connectivity - since late Monday 8 April until now Friday 12 April, despite many calls to Telkom. They sent me an SMS on Wed 10 April saying "the service has been re-tested and found to be free of defects". I had to send them an SMS to say it was not working. In 5 days they have done nothing (except check at the exchange)! In a matter that has been on-going for 3 months!

In the 3 months I logged a number of faults with Telkom, contacted my ISP often & hired an IT specialist to check my installation, pc, modem etc. What emerged from this is the attenuation rate on my line is sky-high - at 56db - whereas it should not be higher than 35db. (US approved rate is 5 I think) The technicians spoken to do not know what the rate should be! I also discovered my line was not set to 1mbps - Telkom claimed they had!! That has been adjusted.

This is seriously poor service. Affected work I do from home & more, &cost me money
