I took out a 2 gigs Tablet data contract for R369pm in February 2012, first 3 months I was paying the normal subscription and I always carried over data because all I do is view emails and surf the net, occassional downloads small file downloads. Then suddenly in May 2012 my bill came up to a shocking /-R1800. I queried at the service centre in Northgate and they informed me that they were experiencing billing errors at the time but advised me to call the customer line to query.

I called and the consultant said he will log a query and they will send me an itemised billing statement. The statement did not indicate where I used up the 2 gigs and also another R1300 of data, as it was what I requested. I queried this and no one responded. My account was suspended as I did not have money to pay for a R1800 bill. Then I was billed for 7 months with no service provided.

Now recently MTN handed my account over to their debtors collector and still have not provided me with proof of where I used all that data.

I am not a happy customer!!!
