I signed a new contract with MTN at R739 pm. I also have another contract with MTN of R179pm.

My debit order should have been R918 a pro rata charge for the new contract.

After speaking to a call centre agent at MTN, I found out that over R2000 was going to be debited off my account. I was told that this is because I have an "OPEN CONTRACT", meaning I would be charged over and above the 2GB of data used.

When I signed the contract, I was told that once the 2GB of data was used, I would no longer have internet access.

I did not agree to be charged for usage over and above what was offered. I did not ask for this, was not told this and need this to be changed ASAP. This is not even clearly stated on the signed paper work I have.

This is ridiculous. I paid double my contract price for the first month. I doubt that I will be reimbursed. Highly upset with this!!!

The salesperson who seen to me insists he explained this over the phone and that he is in the right.
I was told that I cannot change it now, only after 3 months. He also says that each time I want to check my data usage, I have to call in!

Very upset!!!
