Bad Credit Rating with no consultation

During 2012 I received a call from Nahua Mobile, alerting me to an outstanding amount on an account I'd had with them 2 years before (my account had been cancelled for two years). I told their representative that I knew nothing about the outstanding amount, and asked them to send me the details via email so I could see why there was an amount outstanding (their representative was unable to give me any of those details). Today I discovered that I have a bad credit rating because of their report. They've done this without consulting me, or giving me any any information about the 2 year old amount they claim I owe them.

These are simply bully-boy tactics by a company that clearly does this regularly, based on the many similar entries on this site.
