I am speechless at the service I received from Simphiwe from the Telkom call centre today. He was downright rude! I asked numerous times to speak to his team leader, he just point blank refused! I could hardly believe it! He told me that his supervisor had given instruction that call centre agents were only to put calls through to supervisors when the query could not be resolved by the agent themselves. It is my belief that customers have a right to be put through to the team leader for the express purpose of reporting on the call centre agent's bad attitude, whether the query could be resolved or not. Surely Telkom would want to know what kind of treatment their customers are getting at the hands of such incompetent staff! He proceeded to argue with me regarding his attitude and whether the customer is always right or not. I was completely flabbergasted! I do not pay the amount of money I do every month to be treated with disrespect at the hands of rude call centre agents. This is not acceptable.
