One of vodacom direct call centre guys phoned me to do an upgrade. I was told that I'd get 100mb data for free for 3 months only. Once I received the phone, the data wasn't listed, but didn't think anything of it as it was for 3 months only. I used the phone and later got a bill of R1200 - and just to find out that the data was never loaded. I have been trying since May to have the problem rectified, but everytime I reached a dead end.
I finally spoke to someone from vodacom and the man looked into it and said that I did not sign for any data and will be held liable for the cost. My line has since been cut and I have been handed over to legal. When I requested the recording for that upgrade, no one ever responded. When asking for assistance, no one was willing to assist. When I wanted to make a plan to pay off the can with a 60% now 40% later, when I said I did have it they said there wasn't anything they could do.
