False advertising and inappropriate billing

I recently received a call from Vodacom informing me that my phone was due for an upgrade. I then went into a vodacom store in the first week of December and got the upgrade. I was informed that although I could have the new phone and sign the contract, my new package would only be effective as of January so I would need to purchase data in the interim which I did. I later received free data via the 'Vodacom give a gift promo' and used it within the stipulated time only to discover that not only was I billed for this, it was also deducted from my main data bundle. I contacted vodacom who was unable to rectify the problem and said they would call back within 24hrs and that I should call back if they don't respond. They requested that I buy additional data which I did. 4 days later I called only to discover that nobody has been allocated to my request, my new data has run out and that I need more data. I then purchased 250mg for which I was billed and didn't receive. I purchased another 100mg which also didn't reflect. The call centre said that this is a general problem which they will investigate and I will now have to use data and be charged at R1/mg in addition to my purchase! BAD
