I got a smart standard contract with Vodacom whereby i am eligible for 300MB of data. after 3 months i noticed that the charges are unusually high and was told it is due to my high data usage.i called customer care 4 times & different people told me how the charges work without even listening to what i had to say. my dispute was that i had been using the same device S3 on my prepaid line and i never used to pay so highly for data. i was advised to get a contract because "it is cheaper". the customer care guys keep telling me my device is data intensive as if i dont aready know that. i even showed them how i track the data.
Later (06.02.13) i physically went to Sandton customer care center and spoke for over 45 minutes with two customer care agents my case was taken in for investigation.on 20.2.2013 one person calls me and tells me the out of bundle rate is R2.9 per MB. all along i had been told out of bundle would be the same as just buying data as in the case of prepaid which is way cheaper. today (21.02.2013) another person calls to tell me out of bundle rates is R1 per MB & that the other person . how can people working in the same co give such differing answers!!?
