Egining of september 2012 i requested to have an adsl line installed at home. It took them a month to come and do it and to make it worse they installed a phone and no internet!!! i then contacted telkom and was told i have to have a home line to have the internet, but due to the fact that ladysmith kzn has no telkom store, i will need to collect the modem myself in newcastle (which is 120km away) and then i will have to pay a technican R1500.00 to have it installed because i am in a small town they do not over the service free of charge like all the others towns get it. I then thought ok. i will leave the internet line down but i will still keep the landline. Over a week past and my line was still not activated!!! i then contacted telkom again was told they cannot activate the line as there computers are down, i then proceeeded to cancel the whole deal. now i am recieving sms's from telkom telling me i will be handed over to the lawyers for non payment of R573.23 on a line i never had and i never got an invoice for. i contacted telkom immediately and was told the will sort it out, but when request a reference number for the call i was told none can be given.
