Got the 1GIG R99 contract on the 7th of January, after spending exactly 2 hours on the computer, the 1GIG was finished, nothing was downloaded, only checked 4 songs on Youtube (thats it) signal was poor too.
Then went back to the Vodacom shop on the 10th of January and gave them everything back and asked to cancel the contract as it was not a viable option.
The attitude of the sales people were horrendous, most unhelpful and not willing to help. Immediately was told R2500 had to be paid for cancelling, which is unacceptable and against the law (NCPA), seeing that its a brand new contract.
Then was told to call the Vodacom cancellations line, which I did and spoke to 10 different people, each and every one gave a different story. I then asked my daughter to assist, which she has and finally after speaking to 2 individuals at the cancellations centre, eventually we got 2 persons to give the same information. Now we just wait for the cancellations agent to call in the 48 hour deadline time, so we hope that this contract actually gets cancelled as as requested.
Service is obviously not a forte at Vodacom, and this can most cerrtainly be worked on. Please just cancel the contract!
