I took out a new contract with vodacom on 22 nov and requested that they keep my vodacom prepaid number, the contract was approved and all good except the contract could not be activated so a manual activation had to be done which i was told would be done Saturday morning. Saturday 23 Nov came and still nothing. Finally the contract was active on sun 24 nov but only to find that I have been given a new number. I called the customer care and was told the contract now needs to be cancelled and redone and will take 24hrs to cancel. I went back to the store and the request for cancellation was done Monday morning 25 nov. I went back on tues and wed and it seems that the cancellations needed to be escalated because someone isn't doing their job. Today I see a debit has gone off my account for vodacom so I called the customer care to find out why and they told me that it was for this new contract. So I spoke to cancellations department who now informs me that the cancellation was closed and I went back to the store who said they spoke to a guy named Mohamed who is in charge and he has escalated it. I tried calling cancellations again held on for 40min n still didn't get through.
