Vodacom Contract has not been cancelled as request

When my Vodacom contract expired, I sent an email on 2 Dec 2013 to Vodacom Customer Care to request for my contract to be cancelled.

After emails from and to Aashiqah Gire (Customer Care eService Team) to confirm all my necessary details, I received an email from Rozario Engelbrecht (Customer Care eService Team) stating that my request has been forwarded to the Cancellations Dept and that they will make contact within 24-48 hours.

More than a month later, I am still being billed by Vodacom.
I am not currently in the country and can therefore not go into a Vodacom store to cancel my contract. I also cannot receive calls on my Vodacom nr (hence the reason for wanting to cancel my contract in the first place) and it is impossible to get through to the Cancellations Dept.

Please advise what has to be done to cancel my Vodacom contract ASAP?
